Special Issue: Violence and Black Youth in Post-Civil Rights U.S. is now available.

We are pleased that the special issue on Violence and Black Youth in Post-Civil Rights U.S. is now available.  The issue addresses a critical gap in this work around the figure of the African American child in late twentieth-century cultural productions and extends the analysis of work that focuses historical, cultural, and literary representations of African American children within the 19th century through mid-20th century.

Our special issue on Jazz and literature, edited by Darrell Stover, will be available at the end of September.

The issue not only offers the best in contemporary creative and critical jazz literature, it also features a multimedia component that demonstrates the synergy between Jazz and literature that this issue celebrates.
